When we started Apptile, we had a clear vision: to make mobile app development accessible to everyone. Today, I’m excited to share a milestone that brings us closer to that goal.
Apptile has secured $1.2 million in additional seed funding, led by Singularity Early Opportunities Fund with participation from Crown Trust and DeVC. This investment is instrumental for the next phase of our journey.
The best companies realize that the most important factor in success of a business is velocity. Product teams have become very, very good at deploying web based products and execute a tight product loop of design-ship-measure-iterate cycle. This was not the case merely a decade ago. Today, modern web development tools are inherently composable and configurable, and they enable teams to deploy business solutions at a rapid pace.
Mobile apps are still slow to develop and slower to iterate on. Our core insight before we started Apptile was that even though the phone is the primary computing device for billions of users, mobile internet still lags behind the web. The pace of development and the cost of managing mobile apps were not feasible for a large majority of businesses. Only a handful of companies can invest in engineering infrastructure (think Uber) to deliver a beautiful experience for its users, while iterating at a decent pace.
At Apptile, we believe, it was time to change that. Last year, we launched our mobile app development platform, introducing a new tech stack for mobile apps. For the first time, our users could launch fully managed native apps for iOS and Android just as easily as they could publish websites with modern web publishing platforms.
And our users loved it. Our journey so far has been nothing short of remarkable. We’ve seen businesses of all sizes bring their ideas to life with Apptile. Today with Apptile, DTC brands run sophisticated retention marketing programs on their own mobile channel, creators connect directly with their community, urban-tech startups launch innovative consumer products and event companies elevate their user experience. Each success story fuels our passion and reinforces our mission of democratizing mobile internet.
With this new funding, we’re set to take Apptile to the next level. Here’s what comes next:
This is just the beginning. Accelerating mobile app development is an extremely important problem and our team is obsessed with this challenge. This obsession reflects in the enormous love that our team has poured into building the platform. We saw a future where small businesses could compete with giants, where great ideas weren’t held back by technical limitations.
This investment is a validation of that belief. It’s a nod to the hard work of our dedicated team and the trust our users have placed in us. But more than that, it’s an opportunity for us to push further, to reach higher.
The road ahead is exciting and challenging. But I’ve never been more confident in our ability to make a real difference in how businesses approach mobile technology. The future of mobile app development is no-code, and that future starts now. Together, let’s build something beautiful.
